The first time I heard this song, I did not realize it was a cover. It was only after I had done a search for the lyrics that I found that it was a Coldplay song. I much prefer Aimee Mann's version. This is the kind of song that her voice is perfectly suited to - wistful, longing, regretful. The arrangement behind her is also done very well, with the introduction of the backing instruments being done slowly, in staggered layers.

The song comes from the album "Lost in Space".
